FAQ

Most individuals, who are generally healthy, can enjoy Pole Dancing classes. Like many other sports activities, pole dancing and other activities at North Pole Dance can be physically strenuous. These classes are not recommended for people who suffer from neck and/or back problems. When taking up any new physical activity, some bruising is possible and likely, especially for beginners who chose to learn pole dancing. It might take some time for your body to adapt to new exercises. Like any physical activity, our classes may result in injury, and while our instructors are trained in safe class facilitation and aim to provide a safe environment, we cannot guarantee that no injuries will occur. We strongly recommend that you consult your physician before starting any of our classes about whether or not our program is right for you. Ensuring that your state of health allows you to join our classes is entirely your responsibility. All medical expenses incurred from a class-related injury are full responsibility of a participant. Please see our full Health and Safety Notice and Disclaimer here.

We require every participant to fill out the Participant Registration Form, the Health and Safety Notice and Disclaimer and the Registration and Cancellation Policy Form before your first class. You can fill out these forms online or in person in our studio. If you plan to fill out the forms in the studio, please allow for at least 20 minutes before your class starts. You will not be admitted to a class if your forms are not ready.

Please make sure you don’t use right before class body lotions, creams or oils that leave your skin slippery. It will make pole dance practice more complicated for you.

Every journey starts with a small step. We welcome participants with little or no experience as well as experienced dancers/yogis. If you are a beginner, it is necessary to follow the instructions and not to try new things on your own. Any new exercise, if attempted without proper instruction, can result in injury. We will support and encourage you so that you can enjoy the process and learn at your own pace.
